I first saw Avenged Sevenfold live in 2008, after getting photo accreditation for their show at Southampton Guildhall. I remember arriving at the venue to find I had both photo access and AAA. So I called a friend who I knew was a huge fan, invited him down, and we watched their entire set sitting on the pit barrier. At the time I wasn't particularly a fan, thinking I wouldn't know ANY of the songs in their set. How very very wrong I was, and the show was amazing. Sadly however, the AAA pass did not get us an audience with the band...we tried.
